Holder of a B.A. in Engineering Physics from the Royal Military College of Canada and a M.Sc. Physics specializing in Optical Systems, Claude Bélisle has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Telecommunications R & D. Nowadays, as CEO of NordiaSoft, Mr. Bélisle provides Strategic Leadership and overall Business Management of the company. Previously, he held the positions of Vice-President Research, Satellite Communications Division at the Communications Research Center (CRC) as well as Vice-President, Strategic Development whereby he managed major strategic and technological changes within the CRC. This new orientation enabled the CRC to face the new reality of Public Programs in R & D. Mr. Bélisle also sits on the Board of Directors of the Wireless Innovation Forum where he holds the position of Technical Director.
Mr. Girard is the President of DV Hardwoods Inc. since its foundation in 1992. Under his leadership, Mr. Girard has brought DV Hardwoods Inc. to be operational in more than 20 countries around the world in addition to having a permanent office in China with 5 employees since 2007. With 40 years of professional experience, he has a good knowledge of the entire value chain within the wood industry. Always ready to develop new business relationships, he has an extensive network of contacts throughout international markets. Moreover, he is also a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA). Mr. Girard founded his business in order to work directly with customers and suppliers. As a businessman on the field, he is guided by his extensive experience gained over the years. He focuses himself to convey within his company his personal values based on trust, honesty and respect for all people around him.
As Vice-President, Head of the Social and Economic Development Unit (Bachelor of Arts; Master’s of Science: Project Management; International Development Diploma), Vice-President and Founder of Baastel in 1989, Mr. Bâcle is in charge of the General Management and Operation of the Social and Economic Development Unit. Accumulating over 30 years of experience in Canada and various countries in Africa and South America, he has earned a reputation as a Leader in the fields of Projects and Programs Design, Planning and Evaluation. He collaborates regularly with international bilateral donors (CIDA, Danida, DFID, etc.) and multilateral benefactors (Unicef, Unesco, World Food Program, Red Cross, etc.) as well as with national governments, non-governmental organizations and private companies. He has worked in more than 50 countries, is trilingual (French, English and Spanish) and is a Certified Evaluator of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES).
Mr. Alain Fredette founded in 1978 Fredal Solutions, an office equipment company which he sold to his son Étienne in 2008. Mr. Fredette is currently the Co-Owner of Rochef Chocolatier Inc., a company producing high-class chocolate in Gatineau since 2009. Rochef chocolate is distributed across Quebec, Ontario and even in the United States of America. To underscore the excellence of its products and commitment, Rochef Chocolatier Inc. has won several awards including the 2012 RGA “Micro-Enterprise of the Year” Award as well as the 2013 CCG “Commerce and Distribution” Award. Mr. Fredette was President of the CCG from 1999 to 2001 and President of the largest tourism event in the Outaouais Region, namely the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival from 2007 to 2012. Mr. Fredette was bestowed with the RGA Excellence Award as Francophone Businessman of the Year in 1991 and also the Personality of the Year awarded by the CCG in 2004.
