EXPORTER SINCE 2003
Contributing to the psycho-emotional development of thousands of babies worldwide, Maman Kangourou has been a pioneer Canadian manufacturer in the design of flexible baby carriers since 2003.
A go-getter actively involved in her community, Diana Parada, the CEO and co-founder of Maman Kangourou did not expect such success with her flexible baby carriers, traditionally from the Colombian culture. The baby carrier she made for her first child immediately caught the interest of other mothers at her cardio stroller class, and she had her first sales right there!
Those will be the first stages of an inspiring story of female entrepreneurship and market diversification on an international level.
Today, Maman Kangourou’s products are well known to new parents since they can be found on the shelves of mass merchandisers like Walmart and in almost every specialized baby shops … in 36 countries!
For more than ten years, Maman Kangourou has been involved with several humanitarian organizations that work closely with young families in need. The mission of the “Mutual Aid Baby” program is to provide a used baby carrier to new families in need. By recuperating the slightly-used baby carriers from existing customers, Maman Kangourou contributes to the well-being of families in need, in Canada as well as in disadvantaged countries, thus giving a second life to the product and actively demonstrating the importance of sustainable development.
Now introducing new product lines and a state-of-the-art online sales platform, the company hopes to continue growing to new heights.
“Carrying your baby is a way of life, it is a priority … a baby kangaroo.”
– Diana Parada, CEO and cofounder
